Chris Mytton achieves his 2nd Dan at this years Spring Camp in Paignton
Chris Mytton started his training back in 1993 at the age of 10, but left Karate in 1995 as a 4th Kyu (Purple and White belt) and then returned back to Karate with the Dartmouth Karate Club after a 10 year break in 2005 and then proceed to achieve his Black belt (1st Dan) in 2011The KUGB (Karate Union of Great Britain) arrange for a Spring Camp to be held each year in Devon for the local KUGB Karate Clubs to come together. This gives the senior grade students the opportunity to be assessed in fine detail and for them to be put through their paces and work to achieve their next grade.
Chris attended this spring camp which was held in Paignton on the 14th to 18th April this year and achieved his 2nd Dan grade within the black belt syllabus under the instruction of 9th Dan Sensei Sherry from the KUGB. All this was achieved even after a serious knee operation back in 2010. The Dartmouth Karate Club wishes to congratulate Chris’s efforts and successes and supports him in working to achieve further successes.
The Dartmouth Karate Club are now offering an opportunity for younger & less experienced members to train in an earlier session on Wednesdays from 6pm or Sundays from 10am, please get in touch with the club on 01803 833794
