Dartmouth Karate Club continues 100% grading success
On Sunday the 16th of June, the Dartmouth Karate club attended the KUGB grading event held at the Brixham College sports center graded by 9th dan Andy Sherry.
Supported on by the clubs four black belt instructors, the students graded successfully, with Lucy Branton earning her seventh kyu, Yellow belt. Also earning their Seventh kyu were Jessica Branton, Trevor Branton and Dan Sinnottt. Ian Parker obtained his sixth kyu, green belt, Jessica Brock and Michael Jackson both earned their third kyu, Brown belt, and Adam Denley obtained his first kyu, brown belt with 2 white stripes.
The Dartmouth Club has always been keen to give everyone a chance to try karate by having no membership or joining fee, allowing students to pay as they train.
Anyone is welcome to come long and watch a training session and the first lesson is free. Training takes place at Dartmouth Leisure Centre on Sundays at 10.30am to noon, and Wednesdays 630pm to 8pm. For further information contact Pete Atkins on 01803 833794
